Sikkim State University (SSU), Gangtok, Sikkim was established in 2003 and amended in 2017. The University has 10 affiliated colleges in Sikkim. It has six schools — School of Social Sciences, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Languages and Literature, Human Sciences, and Professional Studies — along with 32 departments.
